Phillip Sample (b. 2006) is a black American artist from Lansdowne PA currently residing in Drexel Hill PA and attending school in Utica NY. His art is informed by his love of nature and hobbies of walking, hiking and nature photography. With an emphasis on conceptual exploration.
My work has consisted of wire, ceramic and paper mace. Now shifting to found object, natural wood and possibly welding steel. My work is mostly identiy based speaking to my experience as trans Queer man asking questions of where do I belong, Who am I? how do I fit into society and what does my future look like. These are questions most people ask or desire to answer. I use a wide range of materials because I'm not attached to the materials themselves but what each says about the idea I'm trying to explore My work isn't defined by material but the concepts Im interested in exploring and
