ABOUT ME

My body of work combines sculpture and nature observations to investigate the relationship between nature and independence. I wasn’t allowed to play outside as a kid; I didn’t get to wander around in the yard or discover the wonders of the local woods. Now as a young adult, I take inspiration from the colors, textures and animals I see on my hikes in my local environment of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.

In my practice I use a wide range of materials, including found objects, wood, ceramic and forged steel. I choose the medium as a result of the idea I have. Sometimes I get inspired to do a 2D sculpture like my screen print collages or make a sculpture that uses light such as my lamp series.
